not cured…managed through diet and exercise. Ask your Dr.
The Doc Says:
Sometimes. Keeping a proper diet, exercising, and staying fit can help a great deal, but sometimes you need meds to bring the blood pressure down, even if you’re doing everything right (and sometimes even with medication it can be very difficult).

A proper balance and control of sodium, potassium and magnesium is very necessary to keep blood pressure levels in normal conditions. For this excessive intake of salt should be avoided. There should be an increase of fruits and vegetables like melons, Bananas, oranges, grapefruit, cabbage and cauliflower which are very rich in potassium. Magnesium rich foods like nuts, wheat, rice, beans, soy and bananas should also be included in the diet.
Besides these things some lifestyle changes should also be made. Smoking, Alcohol products should be strictly avoided. Daily exercise coupled with natural remedies for high blood pressure can work a great deal for high blood pressure patients.

Yeah my stepdad had very high blood pressure. It was strange because he’s very healthy and exercises regularly. He’s now on a gluten free vegan diet which has helped so much and gotten his blood pressure down. Just be careful with this diet if you’re on the underweight side because you lose a lot of weight towards the beginning.

It can’t be cured only controlled.
To control it people have to take pills in addition to watching their diet and salt intake.
Everyone I know who has high blood pressure is on medication.

I’ve heard that drinking red wine everyday (8 ounces) helps your heart, which I guess will also help your high blood pressure. Make sure that you are fit and in shape (not overweight). Exercise daily, even if it’s walking a few blocks. Also, try to refrain from making yourself angry or stressed. Keeping yourself calm is the key. Most doctors say that high blood pressure medication will do more harm than good, so it’s better to be off medication than reaching for the bottle every time something hurts.

Nothing replaces a doctors care, but there are things out there that help in a natural way.
Apple Cider Vinegar helps reduce BP. I can’t explain why, but my father is diabetic and has high BP and he began taking 2tbs of a/c vinager a day and it kept them both down. It actually made his BP come down too low (for him) He is used to it being 180/120 or so and it brought it down to 110/90 or so and for him, that was too low to feel right so he stopped with it.
Do some research on it.
Best of luck!

Depends ,how high is it, what the cause is, weight reduction could help. It is possible. A person’s doctor could help since he/she would know the person’s particular circumstances.

How can high blood pressure be prevented?
You can help prevent high blood pressure by taking the following steps:
Control your weight, or lose weight if you’re overweight – losing even a few kilograms will help.
Exercise regularly – 30 minutes a day for most days of the week is best, but studies show that even once a week can make a difference.
Limit your daily intake of sodium to less than 2,400 mg (about 1 teaspoon of salt).
Your diet should include more fruits and vegetables and low fat or non-fat dairy products, and limited amounts of saturated fat and total fat.
Eat food that is rich in potassium – aim for more than 3,500 mg potassium per day.
If you drink alcohol, do so in moderation. No more than one serving per day for women (e.g. one 12 oz. beer can or one glass of wine), and no more than two for men.
Relaxation treatment: slow breathing exercise

Yes, low sodium intake, exercise, yoga, drinking much water, avoid caffeine and sleep well. You do need to eat more potassium containing foods. Potassium containing foods include oranges, orange juice, raisins, prunes, bananas, melons. LOSE your weight
Nurse Answer Mama Says:
Not in all cases. Some people are genetically predisposed and all the exercise and eating right in the world wouldn’t bring down their BP.
tiff Says:
diet, excercise, lots of water, plenty of sleep, minimal sugar, salt, and saturated fat, and consuming cinnamon everyday supposedly helps as well. if all that doesn’t work, genetics is the reason, then you gotta get medicated.
