    Benicar is in a class of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. Benicar prevents the constriction (narrowing) of blood vessels (veins and arteries).
    These drugs should be taken as prescribed and if you miss a dose you should take it as soon as you can. If its close to the next dose, skip the missed one and just take the next. Never double up.

    Your taking it for hypertension so you will probably have to take it for the rest of your life. It’s not the end of the world.
