It could be genetic or maybe she is getting too much sodium in her meals. When you watch the fats, you have to watch the sodium. I am having that problem although through medication my BP is stable. I am assuming that she is not overweight since she is a walker, not stressed, doesn’t smoke or drink. Being a female doesn’t help either. I heard if you don’t sleep well, that can cause it too. So many factors to consider.

Many vegans & vegetarians consume far too much sodium in their daily diets. Cut it down to 200-800mg a day & I guarantee you will see a difference. I did & it went down without any exercise! I won’t take pills for anything. Just an small chewable baby aspirin once a day to keep my blood thin.

You can do a better job of helping keep your BP down. Reduce or eliminate stress and worry. Reduce or eliminate any foods that increase BP. Keep your weight down. Get some sort of exercise. If our high BP is link to your genes you may no option but to take pills.
Has she tried meditation? My bp was starting to climb and my doctor recommended I give it a try. It’s not terribly easy to do it correctly but it worked. My bp is on the low side now.

Join a gym, exercise once weekly. Her blood pressure will drop, in time, to normal.
